Their House

Andi Gabriel Gomez

The Gomez family have 6 children in total.  Their ages are 14, 11, 10, 8, 6 and 3.  4 boys and 2 girls.  Two of the children attend Club Francisco Del Rosario Sanchez School. 

Andi Gabriel Gomez is 8 yrs old.  He was born 30 June 2005.  He is in 2^nd grade and goes to school in the mornings for 3 hours.  Andi suffers from allergies and skin problems.

Esmeralda is 10 yrs old.  She was born 21 Mar 2000.  She is in the 3^rd grade, and goes to school in the afternoons for 3 hours. 

Their mother Percia Gomez is a single mother but lives in the home with her brother who is the sports teacher at the school.  Percia’s mother and uncle also live in the home.  Making 4 adults and 6 children.

There are 3 bedrooms and 4 beds.  The house was another of the worst I saw.  It is in very poor condition.  3 bedrooms in a very small quarters.  There is definitely no room for 10 people in the house.  Percia was really embarrassed to show me the bathroom.  It is outside, used by other families as well.  There is no running water, and a cement block for a toilet.

Percia’s mother owns the house that they all live in so there is no rent paid.
